{ROOT} Prologue
Those who know me, know that I love comic books, cartoons, christ, and colored folks. In an attempt to merge these passions I've begun drafting the plot and creating some illustration for a comic book that I someday hope to create. I'll be releasing content for the story throughout the remainder of the summer.
The comic will be titled {Root}. {Root} follows the heroic misadventures of Chalil Cross, a freshman at his local community college in New Orleans. Chalil's community is under siege by ramped crime and corrupt corporations driven by greed and ancient evil. Chalil discovers that he alone has the ability to save his community from the demons that torment it, yet he must first come to grips with the demons that torment him. Without further a due, enjoy the prologue.
History tells us that sin entered the garden distorting the relationship between God and man, nature and man, and woman and man. As result God banished Man and Woman from the garden. Serry and Cherry were made aware of man and woman’s punishment by other creatures. Both Serry and and Cherry were devastated. The two creatures had come to see both man and women as family, but Cherry even more so. Unlike Serry, Cherry didn't have animal companions to talk to, all he had was plants. After tending to the garden, cherry would talk to Man and Woman for hours on end. Cherry pleaded with God to undo his punishment, yet God responded by making both Cherry and Serry Guardians of the Gate to the garden, saying only “IPA” or Trust. Yet Cherry could not trust. All of his life he had imagined that he would spend eternity with his love ones in the garden. Cherry knew that God had made a mistake, that the story unfolding was not the one that was meant to be, a weed in choking the nutrients from the soil. To kill weeds one must remove the roots. Cherry sought after Man and Woman. Filled with a desire to return them to their rightful place in Eden, and restore the garden.

Prologue (In the Beginning)
After the beginning and far from the end. Man, Woman, and all of creation were in the garden, and God said it was good. Man and woman stewarded all of the good creation, naming the animals tending to the vegetation and thriving off its produce. Among the creation were to translucent creatures, one who hovered over the earth with wing like fins that covered its body, the other walked the earth much like a chimpanzee or small ape. The latter had a long prehensile tail that resembled… Well, a smiley face. Women gave the two creatures the names, Cherry and Sarry. Cherry because, Cherry was red in color like a creation that had previously been made, and Serry because it rhymed with Cherry. Cherry and Serry were unlike the other creatures of the garden, they were given special talents to aid Man and Woman in maintaining order in the garden. Cherry the beautiful winged like creature was to fly about all the garden tending to all the vegetation and gardening. Serry was given the gift of shape shifting and was responsible for helping tend to the animals of the garden. Cherry, Serry, Man, and Woman enjoyed their life within the garden for centuries.
